Presentation Title: “Project Management Essentials in Energy Efficiency Projects”

Ahmed Ejaz is the Project Executive of Taka Solutions – a Dubai-based energy efficiency provider. Taka Solutions specializes in fully-financed, paid-from-savings Energy Performance Contracting efficiency projects. The company’s ultimate mission is to drive large-scale policy to make a significant impact on energy usage worldwide, with the goal of saving 20% of the world’s energy use by 2050. The company’s regional goal is to work with government bodies to adopt widespread use of Taka Solutions’ technology and business model to curb the world’s growing and unstainable energy needs. By employing innovative financing shared saving contracts, Taka Solutions can reach people and countries who otherwise would not reduce their consumption.

The company has enabled itself to deploy its mission rapidly with the use of technology such as IoT, energy modeling, energy monitoring, asset optimization software and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Ahmed uses the latest tools and technology available to create the most efficient process for complete project delivery and greatest customer, and environmental impact.

Ahmed leads the team from a management, execution, strategy, financing, and business development aspect as well as technical engineering including building analysis, design, construction and operation. Ahmed has presented at various conferences and educational settings alike.

Prior to Taka Solutions, Ahmed worked in the construction industry, with a primary focus on infrastructure development and execution. His career has spanned across Civil design, construction, consultancy, MEP system analysis, sustainable design and technology integration with design and construction using BIM technologies. This broad knowledge of all aspects of building analysis, design, construction and operation, along with the understanding of the latest technologies comes together to offer a holistic approach to the most efficient ways building can be delivered and operated.

Ahmed was born and raised in the UAE, giving him the unique insight of the region’s exponential growth across all sectors, whilst calling the UAE his home. He graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Minor in Environment and Water Engineering.
