Presentation Title: “South Energy: A Key Driver for Sustainable Development”

An energy management specialist with more than 11 years of multidisciplinary experience in the fields of Energy Management, Sustainability, Green Buildings and Engineering. Muna is currently Heading the Energy Management Division at South Energy and is driving the development and growth of the solar energy and energy saving retrofits solutions in the region. Muna is also responsible for Dubai South Energy strategy development and implementation to achieve Dubai South vision of creating “a sustainable, healthy and happy environment society”. In her professional roles, Muna has been involved in the capacity of Technical Team Leader, Project Manager Senior Consultant and Design Engineer for iconic international, regional and local projects.

Muna holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. She is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) , a LEED green associate and a Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP). She is also an Award winner of the Emirates Green Building Council – Dr. Owainati Special Student Award for the year 2015 .
