Presentation Title: “Addressing the World’s Water Challenges”

Phil Dixon is a Chemical Engineer from the UK, started his career with ICI in the UK, he then worked in a large UK refinery with a chemical treatment company covering both water and process applications, he joined Nalco Exxon in 1995 and worked in UK and Scandinavia, in both the refinery and petrochemical industries.

In 2000 he moved to Saudi Arabia with his family to take up the position in the Chemical division of Nalco Exxon in the ME covering the GCC In 2004 took over as District Manager for the Gulf and expanded the territory to include, Egypt, Turkey and other ME countries. His current role is Business Development Manager for the ME and he is based in Dubai.

During this time, he has been involved in the commissioning of some of the biggest ethylene plants in the world developing programs and processes to enable the plants to start up quickly and efficiently. He has also trained and developed the teams that will continue to service those plants for Nalco for the future.

Internal Core Projects – Ahmed managed all human resource operations within the company as a Human Resources Director.

External Core Projects – Ahmed was sent by Core to guide and provide management solutions for daily operational problems of human resources departments and performance measuring for several companies in addition of designing new policy systems for several companies.

Project Management – In collaboration with the core group, Ahmed was responsible with his team to establish Human Resources Departments with one of Core contractors, and was appointed as an HR Director on temporarily basis until the completion of basic structure and recruiting the needed manpower.

In 2014 Ahmed was assigned by Sharjah International Airport Authority to establish its new strategy as a successful project resulted in rebuilding its new developed strategy on international standards. In Ajman Tourism Department ATDD he developed its new strategy to follow Ajman vision 2021 as a trust from His highness Shaik Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi (chairman of ATDD) and his Excellence Faisal Al Nuaimi (General Director of ATDD) which resulted in correcting the strategic view of tourism & hospitality sector in emirate of Ajman in 2017.

Ahmed works in the present time with Finance Department of Sharjah as an Strategic Planning Chancellor & Advisors and completed his bachelor’s degree in Management Information systems from UK Open University. He is been considered one of the first GCC nationals obtaining the Advanced Diploma in teaching & training from City & Guilds certified from UK beside his Canadian certification & Euro Pass of professional training.
